Park your vehicle

Nowadays parking is one of the most problem persists because of the attitude of both the motorist and the enforcement officers. I once informed a man driver at a pasar malam that he was holding up traffic because his vehicle was blocking traffic. He was taken aback at first but when she regained her composure, he retorted : "Who are you?" I told him I was a nobody but I just wanted him to know the jam and inconvenience he was causing to other road users. He ignored me and continued to wait in his car. Go to any bus stop in the city especially like Kuala Lumpur and you will notice that vehicles are indiscriminately parked there all the time, despite the big sign threatening offenders with a fine of RM300. Since the space is taken, buses stop on the inner lane, disrupting the flow of traffic. One I approached a team of enforcement officers informing them that they should book the cars parked at the bus stop. I was shocked by response : " These vehicles are like flies, the moment you get rid of them, others will quickly take their place." With that, they ignored me, implying that they know their job better than I. With this kind of attitude, we can double the number of enforcement officers but I doubt it will have any effect. Parking your car is not a problem if you know where to park it. Before you can drive your new or used car, you already finish your driving school or self taught driving. When I took my driving exams I made only one mistake. But it does not mean that I will follow everything most especially if I do not know where to park. And sometimes even if some drivers knows where to park their car properly, if there's nobody watching, they usually just park the place where they feel easy to access. If the lawyer gives ticket to a cop for parking in the wrong spot, that means it could happen to you too. So, if you travel somewhere and not sure if that spot is alright to park at then you have to ask and make it sure before your car will get towed. Even in an Apartment, where some occupants or residence parked their cars in the wrong spot then towing company will be patrolling in your surrounding.
