Firstly, do not harbour any false hopes for your admired. He/she was never prepared to enter into a admired relationship. Even thoughhe/she had a confessed to having the same feelings for you, he/she was always afraid of getting in deeper.
During moments of doubt and uncertainty, he/she might be confused about her feelings towards you. So he/she was probably angrier with herself than you.
Next, forget her. He/she has a disappeared because he/she is not ready for a relationship with you.
You're depressed and feel empty because you may be hoping that she still cares. Thinking about the past, rehashing him/her words, could have give you some idea tht he/she loves you the same way. So you find it difficult to put him/her out of your life.
You need closure. You want to know that he/she does not love you. You want reasons for him/her hot and cold behaviour. Perhaps you cherish dreams that he/she would turn up in your life again, with love for you.
Lastly, accept that he/she is not for you. He/she is a good friend, not your lover. Offer him/her frienship but do not expect any more.
